This position is a PAID, Part Time, In-Home, DSP position located in Onamia, Mora, Milaca, Princeton and Foley areas in MN.
This is a part time position that usually takes place on weekday afternoons.
After training you will work one to one assisting persons with intellectual disabilities to live their lives in their own residence as well as going out into the community! The person may need your assistance with: shopping, community integration, home chores and money management skills.
Responsible for the supervision and management of the program the people we assist. Accountable for the
implementation of treatment following their individually designed plans and documenting of how they are doing.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Assistance with managing the person's home i.e. shopping and money management.
• Provides and participates in recreational, educational and social activities that meet
person’s physical, intellectual, and social needs.
• Provides life skills training and management s directed by the need of the program
• May be asked to provide medication administration to program participants.
Requirements Position Requirements
*High School Diploma/GED
*Behavior management; limit setting
*Crisis intervention techniques
*Valid drivers license with a good driving record
*18 years of age
Program Description The Services for Persons With Special Needs (SPSN) division is dedicated to serving individuals with developmental disabilities of any age. Support services are provided in a foster-care, residential setting and within the local community.
