Since sometimes we donʼt always hear about the good things about North Star Apartments, I thought I would share some. The apartment building is well maintained. Of all the places I have stayed in Brainerd, it has been the best. It is also better maintained than most apartment buildings I have visited in Brainerd.
In winter 2009-2010 it received a needed renovation on the 1st and 2nd floor common areas with help of the Recovery Act.
The apartments and balconies can also have great views on the upper floors. There is easy access to the bike trail.
It gives people a place to live so they can be productive citizens. Some of those people have appeared in good articles in the Brainerd Dispatch, although you might not known that they have lived at North Star Apartments. It also is a place where disabled and elderly people can live with independence.
Residents do activities in the building common areas sometimes. There are also Resident Council meetings where residents meet with staff and can address certain issues, and improvements as well as plan activities.
In the newsletters, I do at North Star Apartments, the number one thing people I interview say they like about the place is the people.
